(Uncaria tomentosa W.) The Cat's Claw is a species of liana approximately thirty meters long that is found in the Amazon rainforest. The bark is carefully extracted from the stems cut above one meter above the ground, so that the plant can regenerate.

It is traditionally used to treat inflammatory diseases such as arthritis, to cleanse the digestive tract, in recovery from childbirth, and to treat hormonal imbalances.
